The children of our school (std 6th to 8th) under the guidance of Smt. Saee Sunil Tarte, participated in the Science Exhibitions held at ward level, district level and State level. They scored the 1st prize at the ward level and district level competitions. And received a citation for the participation in the state level competition. The topic chosen by the children was “Force and Pressure.” They had made certain scientific apparatus showing the use and effect of force and pressure. The district level competition was held at Vidyalankar Polytechnical College, Wadala, Mumbai. And the State Level Competition was held in Sindhudurg district at Sawantwadi Gymkhana, Sawantwadi.

The guide, Smt. Saee Sunil Tarte, was awarded by the Savitribai Phule and Fatima Shaikh, Ideal teacher of the year 2023 – 24 for her innovative contributions towards the field of science. Also Smt. A. G. Patil, Smt. A. K. Chavhan and Smt. G. M. Patil also won the award as the ideal teacher for the same year. Shri. Vikas Rane too was awarded the same at District level by the Lions’ Club of Mumbai. Another feather in his cap was added by the 1st Prize at the National Teacher’s Award – 2023.

Sports

The children from our school participated in various interschool competitions. The school team bagged Silver Medal in the interschool kho – kho competition and Bronze Medal in interschool Kabaddi Competition organised by Amarhind Mandal. Both boys and girls team also bagged the Bronze Medal in Langdi competition.

Sports Day for the academic year 2023 – 24 was held in the month of December. Various competitions such as Shot – Put, High Jump, Long Jump, sprint, relay, etc. were conducted. Special competitions for the children with disability were also conducted in order to encourage their participation in all kinds of activities of the school.

Co – curricular

The school has won the trophy of Overall Best School for Co – Curricular Activities twice. Shri. Dilip Namdeo Pachangane was the Principal of the school and during his tenure for the year 2021 – 22 and 2023 – 24 the school celebrated these achievements.

Maharashtra State Scholarship for Secondary and Higher Secondary Section were taken by 2 of our students this year. Students with disabilities have been a part of the Institute since a long time. Nearly 56 such students are a part of the school currently. Distribution of Hearing Aid, Smart Cane, Wheelchair, etc in the fond memory of our Former Principal Late. Shri. Churi Sir was done by the students of our Alumni Association. Also, financial aid was provided to the children with partial and full disabilities.

Welfare programmes are also undertaken by the students of the higher secondary section and junior college. Anti – Drug drive, De – addiction programmes are promoted by the school. Also, Marathi Science centre organises field trips, industrial visits for the children to enhance their knowledge. Students from our junior college were selected to represent the institute for the same. Blood donation camps are held every year by the Social Service students.

 

Extra – Curricular

Government of Maharashtra, Education Ministry had organised a Mono – act Competition wherein, the 1st prize was bagged by our school teacher Smt. Kavthekar. Also, 2nd and 3rd prize for Folk Dance and 1st prize in singing competition too was taken by the children from our higher secondary section and junior college.

Smt. Vimal Gaikwad, 5 MAH GIRLS BN, NCC from our school got promoted as the Chief Officer at the Battalion. Also, she was awarded with a citation from the school for her extra ordinary performance for the year 2022 – 23. Cadets are selected and sent for various camps and exchange programs every year to represent the unit.

Various competitions are held for the all – round development of the students. Rangoli competition, mehendi competition, elocution competition, handwriting competition, essay writing competition, etc are held throughout the year to motivate the students to participate in extra – curricular activities.
